LEARNER'S JOURNEY LOG
This project was basically about knowing paper in this project we had various activity
1. We tried different techniques on different paper to create different pattern
2. We also experimented with paper
On day 1 we learned some basic properties of paper around us through treasure hunt. I was surprised to know that there are so many products made up of paper around us. After this we were asked to create a bridge out of newspaper with only using liquid adhesives.
This was to difficult to create a bridge without using tapes or other things.
For making bridge stable i made cylindrical tubes. with these tubes bridge be very strong and it be able to hold something like phone
As the project proceeded i explored different kind of paper
And the next day we cut different types of lines on different paper like- Butter paper, kite paper, gateway paper, pastel sheet and so many
with different cutting tools in different angles, with different cutting styles over different cutting bases.
CHARACTERISTICS OF PAPER
PASTEL SHEET - Pastel is such a great working paper because this have a hard surface its work great for burning, cutting and so many.
OHP SHEET - OHP sheet have slippery and transparent sheet. Its hard to paste something on it but it easy to cut.
CORRUGATED SHEET - Corrugated sheet have good insulating properties. this sheet is perfect for making 3D models
NEWSPAPER - This is the most common paper around us. newspaper is hard to burn because newspaper is very thin, light, flexible and smoother.
BOND PAPER - Bond paper is quit thin and flexible. it is a good paper for making complex object.
IVORY SHEET - This is difficult to cut but we may also cut this by using more pressure because it is thick and stiff. It gives stable and clear finished line.
SAFETY
DURING CUTTING THE PAPER
1. Use sharp blades for cutting
2. Don't work with oily and greasy hand
3. Keep your hands away from the edges while cutting
4. Use metal scales
DURING BURNING PAPER
1. Keep all flammable material away
2. Don't burn paper in close space
3. Always burn in open area
4. Use a candle to get a steady effect
5. Allow the burn location to cool completely before doing anything additionally.
6. To much airy area can cause the heat burn very unevenly.
DURING USING ADHESIVES
1. Don't use to much of liquid adhesives because they can lead to textures on the paper .
2. If adhesives stick on hand then use ace tone to remove it.
During this project we create a lot of things like jali pattern , unexpected texture through mixing and matching and in the end of project we create cube by use all the methods which we did during the project
GLOSSARY
1. PAPER MACHE - A material made of paper pulp
2. CAST PAPER - Hand made paper applied to a mold to produce a picture
3. QUILLING- The method of rolling strips of paper glue together to create new design
4. OHP- Over head project
5. HALF CUT - Techniques use in paper cutting
6. KHAMP - A paper craft that involves the use of bamboo strips for support
7. CREPE PAPER - Paper with crimkly texture
This was one of my favorite project because before this i didn't like to work with material but now i got know that working with material is very interesting
The new task everyday increases my interest. It was completely work based project in this project we used paper not for writing but for creating something new exciting
This project helped me to understand the various aspects of paper that would enable me to choose the right paper during various project in future .
This project is very important for learning design . it helped us to keep on trying and experimenting with material and with creativity.
I understood that designing is not only about creative and visual representation
This project combine all the theoretical and practical learning that i can apply in my journey of designing

You have made some good observations about how each type of paper behaves. Adding a reason for why you think it behaves in this way (connect property to character /behaviour) will make your reflection richer. Don't just say it is tough to cut because it is hard, think what makes it hard? And next think if it is difficult to cut, what does this mean for a designed when using this paper - do we have to use a different tool? Do we not consider it for designs that require cutting? so on....
The safe practices (Do's and Don'ts) must be supported by visuals.

Hi Nikita... Why does your Blog / Site's title read the name of the college?? It should read it as your name. Please correct it.
And please change the font used...it is very difficult to read in this thin brush script.
