ESSENCE OF COLOUR

DAY-1

We collected 25 objects for this project firstly.

i got the color GREEN.

My experience- I thought it would be tough to find these many objects for a single color but when i started collecting the objects it was easy for me to find variety of objects. i went out and find something and first thing which came to my mind was all the green vegetables and fruits .The most important thing is leaf of a tree. In this way i also got some more material related to the green color like some logos etc.

Second Assignment -

Experience was good we learnt a lot of things with this assignment . We brought the closest shade possible of the object's cover.

Material i am using for this task -

Day - 02

In today's work i completed my yesterdays task and added my experience and thoughts to it. I made 15 more objects shade today. This task was quite interesting . Adding my experience was quite was exciting . I could explain the color i was making . i could write about the difficulty and thoughts. I found green color mostly in nature that is vegetables , fruits, etc. Green evokes a feeling of abundance and is associated with refreshment and peace, rest and security.

DAY - 03

On this day we came together in groups of our specific color , like mine was the color green .today we discussed about the associations of our color in a common excel. we had to write about the association we felt or could relate will doing our tasks since day one of this project.

i wrote Peace, balance, spicy, growth, healthy, calmness, blandness, environmental, progress ,freedom, freshness, nature, grass, food, safety, faith, hope, nature, positive, deep as green color association.

later we categorized these associations (mine and my groups) into sub categories : political, ecology, science and technology, feeling/experiences and culture.

then we were given a home assignment to find the associations from the internet (well known original sites or government sites , know about them and create a mindmap with all the associations. this was an individual task . i ll publish later in my blog.

DAY - 4 OF EOC.

Today in the morning our day started with the brief from 9-10 AM. in which we let know about the task is we have to choose a random movie which depicted our particular color in various scene. Mine being green i choose THE JUNGLE BOOK.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE :- so while doing this activity i chose THE JUNGLE BOOK as my movie.

In this movie Mowgli is a boy brought up in the jungle by the pack of wolves. when Shere khan, a tiger, threatens to kill him, a panther and a bear help him escape his clutches. The jungle book is a live - action film that tells the story of Mowgli an orphaned human boy who guided by his animal guardians, sets out on a journey of self-discovery while evading the threatening Shere khan. i feel like this movie is the best movie to see how well green can be depicted in different scenes and vibes.

Day - 05

TASK-7

TO USE DIFFERENT MEDIUMS AND CONSISTENCY TO EXPLORE THE FOLLOWING:-

1. HOW COLOR BEHAVES ON DIFFERENT MATERIALS AND SURFACES?

As we use our color in different mediums like in paper, in glass, in plastic, and in steel it reacts in very different way like in plastic i notice that the color is dissipate and easily glides off even after coating for many times. A thing i notice is the color on plastic take a lot of time to dry (Infect more then 1 to 2 hours) but after giving a lot of time to dry it i see the paint did not dry completely. and In the paper i see it dry very quickly because i thing paper observe water very fast. and in the same when i use the color in steel it also take time but in the thick layer when i use the color for many times it dry by the adding of water it take a lot of time to dry and in the glass colour stable very easily but when i add water to it glass also take a lot of time to dry the colour

2. HOW COLOR BEHAVES UNDER DIFFERENT LIGHT SOURCES ?

there were two mediums they are

NATURAL LIGHT AND WHITE LIGHT

In natural light i see the true color which comes to the different mediums.

In white light in white light i see the light makes the color very bright and light.

3. HOW ONE COLOR VISUALLY INTERACTS WITH OTHER COLORS?

THERE ARE SOME PATCHES TO INTERACTION WITH OTHER COLOR.

In this when i see yellow with green the yellow is complementing the green that's why the green is highlighting with yellow and in the next one the green with red in this i notice that the red is popping up which makes the green color looks dull. in the next green with blue is seems very dark combination i looks like very dull color. and in the last green with brown is seems like a dirty in this i thing brown color makes green very dull.

4. HOW DOES THE PERCEPTION OF MEANING / COMMUNICATION OF COLOR CHANGES WITH THE DENSITY OF PIGMENT?

As we add more and more water to the color the density of the color decreases. in this i noticed that the darkest color is not soothing to the eyes but the lighter color is soothing .

In this perception i see how people take green color what they think when they see green and the response was really very good.
